Professional services industry communications expert Leor Franks has joined law firm Kingsley Napley, as its new Business Development & Marketing Director. Franks joins the firm having previously worked with EY, Deloitte and FTI Consulting over his career of more than two decades.
Kingsley Napley is a leading criminal and full service law firm. The firm is currently advising Rebekah Vardy on her spat with Colleen Rooney and gets involved in various other high profile matters – ranging from advice to Tesco on its recent fraud investigation by the SFO through to advice to the Catholic Church on its recent involvement in The Independent Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse.
Bringing more than 20 years of professional services experience to the firm, Leor Franks has joined the law firm as Head of Business Development, Marketing, Communications and Knowledge. He will play an integral role in supporting the firm’s growth ambitions, which include strengthening its corporate and commercial practice and boosting the firm’s non-contentious client offering. He will also help to optimise Kingsley Napley’s strategy in supporting clients through the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit transition and in building the firm’s recognition, reputation and relationships in the market.
Linda Woolley, Managing Partner, commented on the news, “Leor has a proven track record in shaping and delivering creative, client focused and commercially-driven marketing in professional services. He brings extensive experience in professional services marketing, business development and communications and will effectively complement and grow our existing team. I speak for the whole partnership in saying that we look forward to working with Leor.”
Prior to arriving at Kingsley Napley, Franks spent the last two years with Augusta, one of the larger litigation and dispute funding institutions in the UK, as Chief Marketing Officer. Before this, he spent five years serving as the Managing Director in Marketing Communications at FTI Consulting, a global firm with 4,600 employees in 28 countries which offers management consulting, communications, and financial advisory services, while earlier in his career he also held director level positions at EY and Deloitte.
Speaking on his latest challenge, Franks remarked, “I am delighted to have joined a tremendous firm such as Kingsley Napley to lead BD, Marketing, Communications and Knowledge. The firm has an outstanding reputation, a strong culture, an impressive client base and a great team, whom I’m looking forward to working with and learning from.”
Exemplifying the knowhow Franks brings to the role, speaking to Consultancy.uk in 2017, Franks explained that a successful marketing strategy consists of ‘four Rs’. “The first R is Recognition: building recognition of the brand and the marketplace,” he explained. “The second R is Reputation: demonstrating the calibre of our people, of our services. The third R is Relationships: maintaining those you already have and also creating new ones. And the fourth R is Revenue marketing: some people call it business development – prepping and planning for meetings, providing the collateral to have those meetings, and so on.”
